Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

All runs are complete and off piste cover is fairly adequate; yesterday was great but it rained all this morning all the way up to 2400m so the snow's a bit soggy at the moment and off piste has got a bit more patchy.

Sorry it's not great news Confused

well we've kind of snuck in the back door by staying in Zug - and u know i'm only here for your sake to report on the conditions Wink

Anyway it rained for most of the night but turned to snow about 7am. Unfortunately it's falling pretty horizontally so not much has hit the ground yet but at least it's not damaging the pistes.

There's actually been quite a lot of new snow up high. The rain took its toll though and where there's no new snow the piste is rock solid which makes for some interesting variations in the surface particularly where yesterday's slushy moguls have frozen then filled in with new snow.
All in all though it's brilliant today! Smile

St Anton snow conditions - challenging!
Saturday was the best day by far. Blue skies and neough new snow collected up in corners and gullies to get some really nice turns in.

Lech prides itself on its piste management but it was incredible how much they had improved the condition of all the pistes with the relatively small amount of new snow we had.

Zurs was the place to be though - it seemed to have collected all the horizontal snow that had blown through Lech over the day. Anyone heading out to St Anton bear in mind: it's worth the 10-15 mins on the bus to get round to Zurs at the moment.

On the way out on Sunday morning, the runs into St Anton town looked patchy and wierd set against a rather too green background. Higher up was reportedly still fine though. The pic shows the view from just below the Nasserein lift: there were a lot more patches of snow off the piste at this end of town than there were down towards the Galzigbahn.
