Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Burton's 'Audex' jackets - which feature a Bluetooth control panel on the sleeve to activate iPods and mobile phones - are the first of series of related electronic ski/boardwear which the companies are working on.

There will be helmets in 2006, according to this report from

Anyone tried this kit? Or played with it for free in a shop? !

I actually had some of my students work on an ad for the original Burton iPod jacket a couple of years ago now. WYSIWYG really, the arm pad is functional enough and negotiable with gloves on. Can't remeber material specs but being Burton I'd expect it to be up to scratch.
Quite an interesting brief for them as none of them had been boarding. Poor souls...
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have just ordered one of these, and if it arrives in time I will be testing it on the slopes of Wengen next week......I will let you know how I get on....

ahh quelle horreur ! I have a mate who carries a small laptop around with him so he can log onto his company exchange server at lunch... he'll love it, no more fumbling and dropping his phone on the chairlift when he's giving instructions to his staff back at the office!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That is just so so sad. Why is this poo-poo infiltrating every aspect of people's lives. Leave the
phone for emergencies.
The idea of being able to switch tracks on the ol' ipod sounds ok though - especially for those with ipods!

Burtom had trouble with keeping water out of the electrics, Spyder had the same problems, with their i-pod jacket.
