Can anyone recommend any ski schools in Les Arcs (apart from ESF of course)?

edde, a good one in Les Arcs - Vallandry is New Generation. Contact them to see how convenient they are for where you will be based. John Thomas, who runs New Gen in Vallandry, taught me on a course a few weeks back in Tignes. Excellent tuition and I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss things with you.

edde, Depends which of the Les Arcs resort you are staying in - if you are in 1950 I wouldn't go anywhere else than Spirit 1950 in the village - in fact if I was staying in 2000 I would do the same and take the short ski down for lessons with Spirit. If you are staying in 1600 or 1800 or Peisey Vallandry, I don't have any experience there.

edde, sounds about right! They are only quite small - I think they have 4 instructors? but I could be wrong! - so it might be best to contact them beforehand rather than waiting till you're out there.

edde, YEs have used New Gen before and was impressed. Was there last week and used Darentasia who were also very good.
Also had the misfortunte to use ESF - rubbish, avoid like the plague
|

John Thomas is a really good instructor - he was my instructor on the Race and Technical courses in Tignes in November and is really nice, kind and easy to get on with. I can definitely recommend him, although haven't use the ski school as such.
