Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Saas Fee s/c recommendation?

I'm contemplating taking my 12 year old son snowboarding for the first time this Easter, and Saas Fee looks a good choice.

Can anyone reccomend a s/c apartment close to nursey slopes.

ssnowman, if you go to the Saas-Fee website choose brochures and download the Hotels and Apartments brochure (about 6MB unfortunately). That has a list of all the hotels and apartments that are readily available together with a map showing their locations. You want something in the range of 5, 6 or 7 (possibly 4, but it's up a hill) and C, D or E. It will all make sense when you find the map at the back of the brochure.

You can then either contact the owner directly or you might find you can make a direct reservation by way of the website. I have done this for hotels, but not for apartments. I would recommend you book soon because Easter will be a popular time.
