Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've got bad news for Stanton...the snow has started:
What a weekend!
Driving from Geneva airport it was raining all the way, sleeting in Le Chable when we got to our shack.
Woke up to snow all over the valley and when we got up to Verbier it was a winter wonderland.
Saturday there was only one run open in Lac de Vaux....but there was 30-40 cms of fresh all the way down to Medran, 50+ in drifty spots. Clearly everyone just ignored the piste-closed signs and skiied all the way down.
It was snowing lightly all day and well into the evening.
Skiing the bottom half Ruinettes-Medran had the best lines, fresh or chopped fresh all day.
Sunday was different...blue skies mostly and very crowded.
People are so wierd though: there was a HUGE queue for the Funispace but there was great snow still to be found on the bottom half...but we were among a very small minority of people skiing it. Still lots of powder to be found all day. Every time we got right back on a lift at Medran, no waiting at all, and got off to see a HUGE line for the Funispace (still). We never bothered waiting and just lapped that bottom half.
What a weekend!

Was it the Swiss in the queue? They don't like going past the piste closed signs.
Sounds like you had a great time though. Just need Televerbier to open some more lifts.
