Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Well, the GFS reckons the Alps should be bathing under a sea of sun and heat for the next couple of days...
We've had a few conflicting arguments over whether high pressure and its current location means there should be high temperatures or not at this time of year, and a few other predictions seem to indicate things might not be quite so bad.
FWIW it doesn't look like it should be a full-on foehn; with the winds pushing through further North.
But you can't beat on the ground reporting-so over to anyone who's there at the moment...what's it like and is the snow holding out?
A completely selfish query-I'm flying out on Saturday;
Cheers

Here's GFS's 2mT for tonight (min) tomorrow (max) & tomorrow night (min):
I'd be interested if anyone can give the actual mins and maxs compared to the nearest one to them on those maps, if possible.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, Not sure where you're going, but we have people in Les Gets at the moment. They have snow outside their door (apartment on the piste) minus 6 or 7 over past few days (don't know about today yet
) and are generally quit upbeat about conditions.

If the weather station at my house is anything to go by it has been getting colder over the last few days.

The Saalbach webcam was showing 6c (43f) at 2000m (6600 ft) around midday today.

Just to note, I linked to the "live" images, so they'll change over the next few days....which was probably a bit silly of me.
