Firstly thanks to Brian who helped me out enourmously on my last post.
Secondly can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Soll for our party of 10 to eat at on NYE. We arrive they day before and are concerned that alot of places will be booked up by the time we arrive.
Thanks.

The Italian place up on the main road is nice. We used to go to Soll around my BIL's birthday and booked it the day we arrived. Dorfstuben is nice, as is the hotel place in the main part of town (Postwirt??). I'll dig out my town map tonight, this is a low res version of it, and the key for it is here.

The Italian place is called Giovani's it's ace. Back the other way with the ski mountain on your left theres a big place on the right (towards the whisky mule) serves big steaks on planks of wood, live music etc.
I'm going 7th Jan, are you worried about the conditions? We've got four weeks yet.

Ahh, now ian bloomfield mentions Giovanni's, not the one I was thinking of but it's a cosy little place next door to the Dorfstun'n. They didn't do bookings last time I was there in '04 though (although it wasn't New Year). We found that if you timed it right you could sit at the bar and have a drink or 2 while you waited for a table to come free.
The Italian that me & Brightside mean is Ristorante Pizzeria Venezia. The panoramic photo on there is looking out the front across to the nursery slope. They set us up a nice table for 12 one year, well worth a visit.
Dorfstub'n does a huge woodchopper mixed grill, very traditional looking inside.
Postwirt looks nice, we only had a lite bite in there one day but will be back.
Bar Austria was our favourite haunt, good pub grub in the bar with a restaurant for residents.
