Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Got a group of 10 heading out there in Feb. Any recommendations for cheap plentiful half-decent food in the evenings? I'm aware of the Yucutan but burgers/nachos every night might get a bit boring. Self catering is not an option

Cheapest eats probably in the co-op restaurant. Little pizza place in the arcade on the way up the street towards the Spindle. Sports centre restauarnt always seemed popular with the locals when I went to the Eishockey.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Agree with the Pizza parlor place off the Dorfstrasse. The Thai restaurant over the road from the Yucatan was quite good although I can't remember if cheap. The best place is further up the Dorfstrasse towards the monastery but again not cheap. I haven't explored around the back of Titlisstrasse which loops round to the sports centre.

, in the Bellevue on the basis that it's cheap and everyone's arriving by train so it's impossible for them to get lost
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

very handy all round.... looks like the Yucatan will be base camp as well. Since the advance parties...assuming you aren't planning another prior trip, will be there in Jan, you can look forward to all sorts of eating and skiing reports
