This is great news. The Alps finally look like a ski resort. The Val d'Isere webcam has been transformed.
Does anyone have a feel for depths, though? It looks like a sprinkling only in many places. And the temps seem quite high at a few stations, so some of the cover might melt lower down.

About 8cm at 2100m in Tignes, but much of it gone already because temps are relatively mild (and forecast to get warmer).

Wondering the same myself. Both Isola and Auron webcams are switched off. The mountains looked like they had snow this morning though and the temps have dropped substantially. It was about 13 today at 5:30.
I hope to get up there this weekend so I will let you know what's its like then

Freestyle, I think it must be new - same camera positions as before - but linked up and "video"'d. Should be good during the season. Not many video ones in Frnace - Austria has been doing it for years. Most of Austria has it on the TV in the morning so you can check out the weather "live" on the TV.

Looks like Isola2000 put back their opening date to Dec 2. Webcams suspiciously still not working, expecially considering they had them on all November last year.
Doesn't look like last nights snow fell down here.
