Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Not sure how many of you are from the Northeaset USA, but I thought some may be interested in this. The AlpineZone Ski Area Challenge was designed to provide a method for our forum members to get official answers to skiing-related questions directly from a Northeast USA ski area representative. Click HERE for the list of ski areas that have participated so far. We are currently requesting additional questions for other ski areas.

Thanks, U. I lurk from time to time. Glad to see your forum here has really taken off. Yeah, the "challenge" has received a lot of positive feedback. We've learned some great info so far.

Only place I really know in the North East is Camelback (www.skicamelback.com). Small hill which they make the most of, brilliant atmosphere and top top people! It doesn't appear on the list Puzzled

Well, we're just getting started. I'm concentrating on New England and New York first, and I'll then move on to other areas of the Northeast - Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, etc.

Just a shameless plug here. We're still running the challenge. Feel free to check it out if you're interested in the Northeast US ski areas:

I agree. It was a transparently shameless plug.

(that was a British one. They're rated at 13 amps and have the distinctive square pins.)

Dan, "northeast" is generally taken to mean north of the Pennsylvania border. Conveniently enough, the letters NE also stand for New England, so NY state is somewhat in dispute, and no one really wants to include New Jersey, with snowdome or without.

Dan, Physicsman knows far more than I about that part of the country, but it is about the snowiest part of the state. Lucky you. Until you get a deer in the windscreen, that is.

comprex, yeah i was out there a couple of years ago but a bit further south in New Jersey - New Brunswick area. The deer were a real nightmare, especially the males when the females were in season - they just acted like drunk teenagers following the scent no matter where the scent took them. Saw quite a few "deer pizzas" on an autum trip up to Ithaca Shocked what a mess!

Look forward to a response from PM.
