Quick update on conditions in the 3 Valleys, for anyone interested.
Its going, and going quite quickly... Courchevel, well I haven't bothered skiing there the last 2/3 days as apparently its all a bit grim, been driving straight up to Mottaret and over to Val T. Saulire side of Mer/Mot has very little snow left. Mont Vallon runs look in really quite good nick at the moment. Lac de Chambre (Val T back to Mottaret) has been passable even late in the afternoon.
Val T definitely place to be, reasonable snow up on Col chair, Glacier chair runs also looked good 2 days ago. Bouchet itinerary in Orelle looks good still (though slightly bumpy). If you don't mind walking a bit the Grand Couloir on the Roc des St Peres has good spring snow, best to hike earlyish before the boot up gets to soft, but you'll need to wait a bit at the top, we skied it at 1230 and could have done with waiting another 1/2 hour. Gebroulaz Glacier is in great nick, best to link it in with the Col de Borgne/Glacier de Borgne, if not you'll be walking an awful lot of the way back to Mottaret. Glacier de Borgne had great spring snow today. West face of the Peclet firm even early pm, watch out for the 'oles...
A few pics here
Cheers,
Si

Would be interested if you get over there, we've often skiied this time of year and found Courchevel to have good snow in previous years, apparently the link down to La Tania is still open...
Some friends are thinking of going back this time next year to la tania, so would be interested in what is open/shut over that side.
Cheers,
Greg

Cheers Kersh, look out for headcam footage from the Courtes coming soon...
kitenski, normally Courch is good right til the end, certainly last year it was great right to the 30th. The last 2 weeks have been unseasonably warm though and everything is knackered. You can't ski down to 1650, getting back to 1850 is well dodgy, pretty sure you're downloading back into La Tania, even coming back into Mottaret from Val T today was a bit tight... but this is exceptional.

Oops - thought I posted this on Saturday.
Skied Mt Vallon on Thursday before noon and it was lovely. Slopes that face directly in to the sun seem to be soft even first thing but those that just face away a little are holding out. Meribel side of Saulire has lost lots of snow and that side down in to Mottaret below the gonodola mid-station is not worth skiing. Still some good runs above Courchevel 1850 in the morning (Chanrossa and around Creux) but the lower tracks around the town (like down to Plantry lift) are getting very thin and 1650 no longer skiable back down. The North facing slopes down in to La Tania are a great ski (only the last 300 metres right down in to the village has some bare patches that need skiing around and there's a 50m walk to the gondola at the bottom - pretty good considering it's 1400m altitude and it's been sunbathing weather for at least 2 weeks).
Anyway, Courchevel Valley closes tomorrow so what's the betting on some new snow next week and access down Saulire from the Mottaret side - saying that I'm not sure if Pas du Lac is opening - it may be only the Val Thorens side up from Mottaret that's open - Plan de l'homme lift in Meribel is supposed to be open next week for access to Mottaret. Note that 100% of the Val Thorens area is still open - have a good trip all...
