Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi There,
I'm off to Les Carroz 23-30th dec , it's a family group ranging from 4-60 yrs old and i am the only person who's skied before. I'm concerned to get the best posible instruction for the children (4 and 6) and i wanted to check whether anyone has had any good/bad experiences with the nouvelle dimension ski school as they seem more flexible than thje local ESF in terms of lesson times etc.
Also its my Dad's 1st time skiing at the age of 60, we're intending to get him private lessons as a present but would people recomend morning and afternoon sessions or just morning and then practice. Additionally is there anything particular to watch out for as a more "senior" beginner?
Thanks
Harry

Harry,
I've never personally used either ski school in Les Carroz but have heard good things about Nouvelle Dimension.
I can also personally recommend Fred from Montagne Activities [bureau@montagneactivites.com] as a very good English speaking private instructor/guide.
Les Carroz will be very nice at Christmas. Enjoy it.

Beakyshark, Used them for private instruction for my kids in Feb this year & they seemed very good, friendly, good English & instruction.

Beakyshark, We were in Carroz 2 yrs ago and met a couple who regularly used them & could not recommend them highly enough. Their kids skied really well & progressed v.quickly supposedly due to the deliberately low nos. in the classes. Carroz will be lovely at christmas - v.envious!

if you get the chance, you should definately dine at this place. Absolutely fantastic. Located at the top of the village, at the food of the main red run home (also reachable by road).
