At this time of the year,in the town, valley the snow comes & goes depends on the continuation of cold weather.Whats important is its cold above 1800M then the snow remains up high.

Anyway, to have snowfalls during this period is a good new, I guess, 'cause I've seen some years, there wasn't snow at all within the whole November...
Do you have good feelings for this season and specially during first week of December?
Many thanks

floquet de neu, it's guesswork predicting anything in relation to weather, however it is better to have snow on the ground than no snow!

floquet de neu,
You know the beginning of the year I thought we would have a great summer in Holland with a break maybe in August then followed by an Indian summer & thatsjust what we got .
Im not going to predict this Winter but IMHO opnion I like to see snow falling at elevation in 2/3r week of October, we are just a bit behind just like last year .
BTW. Do you realise that quite a few of the lifts in St Anton do not operate very early in the Season ie; Rendl and quite often Gampen/Kapall ?

If I'm not wrong, I believe Lech-Zürs will "fully" open by December 2nd and if there's snow enough, they'll open many lifts and slopes, I guess. Isn't?

Rendl doesnt open a the beginining, normally a week before Xmas that opens. They def DO NOT have 100% lifts open even if there is snow. The problem being is there isnt the people to justify it
Even though they put down Artificial snow on nearly all the pistes. Last season the real snow didnt arrived until 16th December and they didint even the open Gampen,Valluga Schindler untill around 22nd. They were trying to preserve the snow for the Xmas/New Year weeks.
Send an email to the lift company http://www.abbag.com/ and ask them.
They always have the Galzigbahn open from the begining of the season till the end just so they can say they have a season from Nov to May .

Many thanks for the info stanton, anyway and due to my lack of knowledge I believe you are always referring to St. Anton. Is it the same case for Lech-Zürs? Use they to have few lifts operative?
Thanks

You know it makes sense.

I think your be OK in Lech/Zurs. Dont worry theres a plenty of slopes there to keep you busy & Lech 6 Zurs is a fantastic place to ski & eat
I thinking they may not open the higher Steinmahderbahn,Rotschrofen,Trittkopfbahn and maybe some of the small T-Bars so early on.

Oh...sounds fantastic stanton, I hope we'll be able to enjoy Lech and Zürs a little bit at least as we're gonna be there for a whole week!
Anybody knows the current snow thickness in Lech? I read there's 70cm at Saalbach
