Poster: A snowHead

Looking at weather reports and it looks as though we will be getting colder temps and a bit of snow for this weekend. Better get the winter tyres on.

Ah, but will it stay?
I noticed that snow is forecast for Thursday (well Donnerstag, anyway!)
Bring it on!

Dicko, 5 degrees here driving home this eve. Radio forecast reckons snow down to the "Niederungen" (about 450 or so m) by the end of the week - not necessarily settling, mind

Snow will visit many places, but prefers to live where it's cold.

Chris Brookes, no, it just means low-lying areas! But low-lying in the Zurich area is 450m

Still only 2.5 this morning. Just about to get the winter tyres on here too, we've got guests out next week for an Autumn break - they could be in for a shock. I'll have to warn them. Probably melt be next week though, looking at the forecast.

Yep starts to warm up again on Sunday!
Tried to get booked in for Thursday to get the tyres changed. Seems like there is the usual surge of people who leave it to the last minute......cough
I was skiing in Prabichl by the 12th of November last year, but it was still 20 degrees on the last week of October. "so your saying theres a chance"?

Warms up at the weekend so will probably lose most of it

Think it will still be cold enough at altitude over the weekend. Just depends whether enough snow falls in the next 2 days to allow skiing at Laax or Engelberg (both should already be open by now) or Lenzerheide (would open this weekend given snow).
