As you may have seen I have been helping out a few people with the " On the Piste " DVD.
I have had on my rental list for some months now the DVD for " 100 years of the SCGB ".
I am now informed that this is no longer available for rental.
Can anyone help me out with a copy.

Super Eagle, If you start a new direct debit agreement with the club, they will give a copy for free... then if you were to cancel your direct debit before next year, they might offer you another free gift...
Inadvertenly due to bank changes and admin screw-ups, so far I have had a Club watch (a bit naff) a Salomon shoulder bag (useful) and they sounded very grateful when I phoned them today and said I would take a copy of the 100yrs DVD off them. Perhaps they over-ordered...

I bought the DVD, and a copy of Arnie Wilson's 'Snow Crazy', which is a book about the first 100 years of the Club. That was independently published by Blake, and has some interesting history about the early days, when a commercial rival to the Club tried to establish itself. I'll check out the details and report back.

stoatsbrother, Very interesting that. Having received this years membership vouchers ( What Vouchers ). I was very disapointed in the loss of the Snow and Rock deals. This used to recoupe the membership costs.

Slush and Rubble vouchers for K2 Speed 4 poles (when you by a pair of skis), 3 pairs of socks free when you buy a pair of boots, and 25% off Dainese R3 helmet with my pack. I think the Ellis Brigham 10% off is generally more useful.

Super Eagle, to amplify what halfhand says - the vouchers are folded up, marked "Treats" and tucked away into a pocket on the Home folder.
It has been suggested that the label is for wearing on your jacket, so that, when you are wandering around after apres ski, somewhat the worse for wear, some kindly soul can read the label and escort you home
