Off to Val d'Isere from Saturday. Any commendations for ski school -- group lessons ( hopefuly <6) for 16 yo, week 2 English - speaking skier?
I've seen some stuff here but unclear so would like personal commendations ...

BASS have a place there, at least they did last season, my son shared a flat with one of their instructors.

not too sure of the lower or mid range of the market but at the upper end i would certainly recomend the development centre [ booking desk inside Precision ski shop at the roudabout in the middle of town,] i got one of their guys to take out the SO her Brother and his wife, they had 3 hours private tuition and there was a notable difference when they came back from the lesson.
the other ski school is the one with the green jackets [last year] can't remmebr the company name but Mark Jones is one of the top guys there...someone will know who i mean

Mountain Masters. In addition to Mark, Rupert Goldring is very good, although I'd guess that all of their instructors know what their doing. I'm not sure if Mountain Masters do adult classes; they seem to specialise in private lessons and children's classes (up to 14).

pam w, apologies for not linking to Agenterre's , thread but it was late and I had just coughed my G&T over the screen when reading your obviously innocent post. The thoughts of his face turning beetroot and then the top of his head blowing of were just too much.
