so with this system, it looks like you can fit a vist plate to all your skis then very easily transfer one set of bindings from one set of skis to the other
has anyone used this system in this way? did it work well? how much of a lift does the system add to the set-up?
and... is there any way of modifying Fritschi Freerides so they are compatible (very unlikely I know but worth throwing out there)?

Arno, I seem to remember from Epicski that comprex uses Vist plates so hopefully he'll be along soon.
Might also be worth you doing a search on Epic.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Arno, won't the other manufacturers sell the mounting plates seperately to the bindings, the Atomic Neox and Markers will slide off the mountings pretty easily. I'm not too familiar with the other systems though.

4 Front deadbolts will also fit as they are essentially a VIST binding

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Not all Vist plates and binding use the speedlock system.
You can see the various options on their website.

sorry, I'm no help with that one, only using the Absorber/WC ones with other bindings.
If you're really concerned with lift height, or wish to use FR's, why not just use threaded inserts on the skis & non-tapered machine screws?

I might look into this - any reviews of durability etc? The LINE Reactor was transferrable but suffered from a design flaw in the toepiece IIRC.

Arno, I remember someone on TGR talking about mounting up a load of Tyrolia Railflex rails on different skis and then changing the bindings. Sounds like a money saving idea to me...
I've thought it might be possible to do something similar with Fritschi or Naxo. You could take the main binding off at the toe pivot point, you'd need spare toe mounting points & heal locks... Don't think I'll bother

Arno, I used them on rental Stoeckli SL/GS in Champoluc quite a bit. They seem very robust and given the pedigree I don't believe there'd be anything to worry about. No idea of lift heights.
Best thing though, you can buy skins (in a mobile phone sense) so your bindings always match your skis/boots/pants/etc. How cool is that?
