Last time we had snow at 2000 meters in August in the Belledonne mountains was 2002, this was the view of les Sept Laux ski resort this morning

I can't see any snow (clouds), but it's still only 13 deg here at nearly midday. May have to go up tomorrow in spite of day off.

The forecast is for 60cm to Monday at 3000 m, but further north than the Ecrins.

davidof, cleared a bit - I can see that it has snowed down to about 2,400m.  TBH, as long as it snows on the glacier I don't much care about lower down!
