Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Selling/swapping bindings?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all looking to acquire a 2nd set of skis however they have non grip walk atomic x12s on. So my question is will anyone be remotely interested in buying 2nd hand bindings (I would assume not?) or even a swap?
TIA JJ

Not a huge market in secondhand bindings. I've occasionally bought a pair but at the moment still have some minty Marker Squires (pre SoleID) available to a good home for not very much)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Jwerts74, can you get replacement alpine soles for your boots? Might be easier/cheaper than the binding switch...

As per @Dave of the Marmottes not much market for 2nd hand bindings.

If you have a local ski shop, it would be worth asking if there is a conversion kit for the bindings. I’ve just taken a pair of skis in with Look PX 12 bindings and the shop think that they can find a replacement part (fingers crossed!) to make them GW compatible. Possibly, other manufacturers do this too?

@rachelharrisonsmith, I have in stock the complete range of GW AFD kits that Look offer but it depends upon the specific generation of PX12 that you have as to whether they offer one suitable for your binding. If you email me a plan view and a side elevation pic of one of the toe bindings then I can check.

@Jwerts74, The Atomic X12 is a rebadged Salomon binding and they offer a GW AFD set for it. It's part no. L4104810001 (which is for a pair) and any Salomon/Atomic retailer can order them for you.

@spyderjon, Thank you - my local shop has said that they can get them but I’ll ping you if they don’t have any success. It’s good to know that there is a relatively cheap way to resolve this!!
