Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
We're off to La Plagne in just a few weeks - stealing an early-doors deal and hoping there'll be white stuff around. We're staying in Les Coches, and probably spending most of our time around the La Plagne side, rather than Les Arcs as we've stayed in Les Arcs a few times before.
So I'm hoping to get some guidance from any folk who have been to La Plagne, or stayed in Les Coches recently. We'll be hiring kit, and as we'll be mainly on the slopes with skiers I wouldn't mind hiring boards with step in bindings again - for us it certainly made for an easier flow off the chairlifts and on down the pistes in mixed group of skiers and boarders. So anyone spotted hire shops who are offering step ins for boards in Les Coches? I've started asking around, but getting some very vague responses when enquiring about kit. So general recommendations for good staff and kit are very welcome.
Likewise, recommendations for board school - I've clocked up quite a lot of weeks on the slopes now, but like the idea of some board buddies to push my skills onward with, to have some company for the park and trying more skills and tricks. I guess I'm a reasonable intermediate, getting the hang of a carve on the blues but not steeper, faster terrain; linking switch turns fairly well down red but some way from eradicating the last of the skid from my turns, small pops and jumps on piste etc, but not really actively jumping yet. So lots to learn, and would like to push that forward.
Beyond that, then parks, playful areas, food, bars, and any live music venues would be great shouts - thank you!
Jess

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ooops, I'm a little embarrassed to have missed that one - Thank you! I'll stick with my board specific requests as justification though...

We've put my son Max into lessons with Evolution 2 - we usually stay in Montchavin but that shouldn't make a difference if you're only in LC. Due to the time in the season we've been it had to be private lessons as they weren't offering group snowboard classes for the kids - might be different for adults?
He really came on with the private lessons and spent much of his time on Rider's Nation at the top of the Bijolin lift
