Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snowchains Wanted - Now sorted

Every time I change cars I have chains to sell on as they never fit the new vehicle, so this time I thought I would see if anyone has any unwanted ones in the right size lurking in the garage before I trot off and and buy yet another brand new, never to be fitted set for the new vehicle!

I am after basic chains to fit 205/60 R16, and live in the Grantham area.

Making a confession here. As I was unable to find a set of snow chains for our car when we changed it just before a Christmas trip, but did manage to sort out the winter tyres, I just bought some snow socks. Still unopened in the boot of the car.

@Hells Bells, I found a set of snowsocks in the boot of my car as well, that I forgot I had.
They are so handy and light and you never have to use them, cos if you have them on board, you won't need them.
I found all sorts of odd stuff in that bit where a spare wheel should be.
