Poster: A snowHead
|
We have a 3 and 5 year old we’d love to take skiing in Easter (mid April) 2025. Last year we went to a fantastic Kinderhotel in Tyrol with incredible kids club and fab swimming pools for when they weren’t outside, but were limited to school holidays this year which means skiing late in the season.
Does anyone know of any high altitude Kinderhotels or very family centric hotels that are a) close to the piste and b) good for late season skiing?
Thank you in advance!!

Thank you both! I've seen various mentions on other threads about Ski amadé being good. If so if anyone knows of any good hotels that allow easy access to higher slopes or generally which resorts to look at that would be appreciated!
@turms2 appreciate the advice, I''ve found a potential at Obertauern but will continue searching whilst I'm waiting on pricing...

@foxcote90, that late the only place likely to be open in the Ski Amade area is Schladming, and it will be the glacier only. And according to https://www.schladming-dachstein.at/en/winter/ski-mountains/dachstein even there the season ends on April 6th. There is nowhere in the region high enough to remain open to mid April.
In mid April you may get lucky, but you will want to be at Hintertux, Kaprun or Soelden to be sure of being able to ski. Even if there is lots of snow elsewhere, they will have closed on the scheduled date, and the staff will have gone off to prepare for summer. As an example, Saalbach plans to run until the 13th April - https://www.saalbach.com/en/winter/ski-resort - but that will be very limited by that time as half the resort faces south.

Thanks, that's good to know.
If I was looking at the French / Swiss Alps in comparison - anyone know of a good family hotel there? The Austrians seem to do family hotels well but I've struggled to find anything in the typical late season resorts of Val Thorens / Val d'isere etc (that aren't going to cost a small fortune for a week)...
