Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Single room chalet listings

So got a pass out from the better half to take MHskier junior out with me over new year. Looking around and it seems slim pickings on the package front for where I fancy in the budget I have. Fancy a change so Dolomites or 3V or maybe Paradiski.

Are there any companies that are aggregating and listing 1 room left overs in shared chalets?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Does it have to be New Year, where pickings will indeed be meagre and expensive?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It’s very early for any giveaways. It’s probably the second most expensive week of the year so companies will hang on to sell their own offerings before opening up to folks taking a commission.

Not touting for business but we at Snowfinders do this for you and will find a room in a shared chalet for you across all package suppliers and most catered chalet owners. However, this new year is virtually sold out bar the odd chalet here and there. For a package including flights I am afraid that you will be looking north of £2,000.00 pp. There are maybe half a dozen chalets left between £2k to 3k.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The week is virtually sold out in catered chalets but all suppliers that deal with agencies will allow agents to sell on all dates as it is written into agency agreements. There will not be any giveaways this new year in catered chalets to be honest.

@MHskier, Is driving an option? if so that will keep the cost down a bit.

In 3V it might be worth looking at a small 2/3 person apartment with Meribel being the cheapest main village (about 1000 Euro if you are lucky) if you want to stretch your budget further Brides Les Bains will be a couple of hundred Euros less.

You could also check out Orelle for 3v.

For Les Arcs it'll be a similar story with 1600 being the cheapest main village and Bourg St Maurice being the budget option.

I'm unsure about the Dolomites but I'd expect you to need to fly and find a B&B on the resort website.

If you did self cater then you could always get takeaways if you want to avoid cooking. I'm doing something similar at Feb half term with my son in Ischgl where the half board hotels are expensive but I found a well located B&B on the resort website within my budget.
