Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
We are looking at doing 3-5 nights in Cervinia in January. Picking this resort for some snow sure-ness in January! Has anyone any hotel recommendations, could not find too many options so far. 5 star not required but don't really want to do self catering as a short stay! Thanks

I stayed in the Hotel Petit Palais a few years ago with my son and we had a good time https://hotel-petitpalais.it/en/. Very close to the lifts and close to the end of a red run. Hotel was good at the time and food was very good from what I remember. Also well located for going directly up to Zermatt if that's your plan.
I also liked the look of the Hotel lo Stambecco which is up in the gondola station, not sure if it is any good as a hotel but seemed a fun location.

@Simone, I used Albergo Edelweiss for a short break a couple of years ago and really liked it. I hired and stored skis at the lift but there was also a hotel shuttle to and from

We stayed at the 3* Hotel Mon Reve, when doing a summer course, nice rooms and nice bar, breakfast was good

Thanks all for recommendations, will have a look through them. Just looking at reviews of Cervinia a lot of talk about lifts and ski area being closed regularly due to high winds. Know wind might effect link to Zermatt but is it that regular an occurance.? Know can't plan the weather but would hate to end up going for 4 days ski-ing but not being able to ski 'cos of wind (don't mind lifts being closed due to snow as you know once it stops you will benefit!)

Been twice
First time in a cheap AirBnB over Easter , Second time Hotel Europa - Cervinia a great hotel , good location , nice rooms and nice food , underground parking.
No issues the first visit , the second time the link to Zermatt was shut a few days and had to ski down the valley at Valtournenche as they had shut the resort due to wind. But it wouldn't put me off going there again

We have booked Hotel Meuble Furggen in March . . .looks nice enough - ski in ski out which may be traumatic for late night returns (although they have a free shuttle that runs until 11pm)

Hi Simone! i'm a ski instructor from Cervinia, not really sure your budget but Hotel Planet Excelsior 4* is one of the best, right in front of the lifts in Cervinia downtown. Another very good option (always close to that area) is Hotel Miravidi 3* very good food and cozy atmosphere. Same thing for Hotel Minion, they're all three very close to each other and to the lifts (Cretaz area).
Of cours if you need a ski instructor you can reach out I've worked 10 years for Breuil ski school (you can find me in their Google review) now I'm an indipendent teacher.
Hope this can help!
