Friend of mine at work here in Tyrol has some of their trousers for hiking and he's happy with them.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@swskier, Good to know. Mrs U has a knee brace and so needs +/- full length trouser zips and these are not that easy to find.

@under a new name, i have a pair of Patagonia trousers, bequeathed to me by my daughter in law, with full length zip, at any rate on one leg (can't remember which, off the top of my head).

Ha ha, although the Swedish language is still official in Finland (along with Finnish) and the origin thing is a deep social structure in Finland, despite the time that's passed since Sweden ran the place. The Sámi guys might be more likely to see your point of view, in some ways.
An interesting direct-to-customer business model, if I read that right. That kind of makes sense now we're mostly over bricks and mortar retail. If you're buying online and paying full retail, there's no need to have a consolidator as well as "the brand" (who may or may not do the manufacturing) taking a slice of the cash. Maybe we'll end up with brand sites like that and discount end-of-season resellers and nothing much in between.
Has anyone used their ski gear?

@phil_w, similar to Stellar, although I think Stellar's branding (and design) is much nicer. Also, was rather pleased with their customer service this year.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I have two pairs of their hiking trousers, can't fault them so far, certainly haven't fallen apart or started leaking random bits of thread like a lot of gear

I've also got a pair of their hiking trousers. Fit well and had no durability issues so far - about a year old.
