Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi, does anyone have a recommendation for a good insurance provider for cover while my daughter is doing the 6 week instructor course in Austria. She will want to do basic recreational skiing but I think she may do some racing, snow park, tricks/acrobatics . I have looked at Snow Card but this would require the pro insurance which is over £600 for multi trip. Any other suggestions, I want to make sure she is covered for mountain rescue and emergency medical treatment, the other travel insurance is not an issue. Thanks

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Don't worry, if she's doing the Anwaerter she'll spend most of her time learning how to snowplough properly. Unless she's already a racer/parkrat/aerials expert you won't need extra insurance, and you'd know that already if she was.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Try pm’ing Timberwolf. One of his sons did something similar in Austria a couple of years ago.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Surprised whoever's running the course can't recommend appropriate insurance?

Thanks everyone, I will look at those links, there are some links on the SIA website but even then most policies exclude terrain parks and half pipes etc. unless you select the pro level. There must be a much higher (and more significant) injury rate in those areas!

Have a look at dsv aktiv, it'll get one off the mountain to medical care at which point you'll need something else. It also has a few other bits.
