Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Theft Survey for Highschool Project !!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi there! A group of high school seniors and I are conducting a survey to gather data on ski theft for our engineering class project. It is a quick survey, only 3 questions & we would really appreciate any responses we can get.

you need to add a "none stolen' option (as i have never had anything stolen!!)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

And a Ski one week; which is greater than 5 days!

Plus the old favourite of "Swap a ski with a friend" to the "Secure Equipment" section

Same here, I've never had anything stolen either.

1-2 weeks covers 1 week.

Swapping a ski isn't securing it and won't help with an engineering solution, then again neither does an air tag

I try not to access random google forms. But guessing at the questions. No I've never had ski kit stolen. Yes I always lock it unless it's within sight. Yes this is outlier behaviour. No I don't need a better ski lock, a simple thin bike combo cable works fine.

Swapping skis usually prevents theft, which sounds like a valid interpretation of "secure equipment". Yes of course it won't help find a technological solution. Lockable cables already exist and can tie several pairs together which we sometimes do.

After all it is free Go on u know u want to!

Would note that "someone you know" could easily apply to a few 100 snowHead on the basis of a single theft

Also possibly worth differentiating where they were stolen. Lockers are basically only used at accommodation; I have only heard of skis being stolen on the mountain.

Imho on the mountain is a different problem to in the hotel.
