Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for a cheap holiday early January. Has any body stopped at this hotel?

Lots of appartments in Brides which will work out cheaper than a hotel. We have stayed there many times. Easy to do your own breakfast and places to eat out in evening but can heat up meals from the supermarket. The hotels we have used in the past (many years ago now) are Centre and Val Vert. Have probably eaten in every possible place there over the years. We will be there for 2 weeks over Xmas/New Year in an appartment but will have our own car.
If you are travelling at weekends then lots of transfers or if mid-week when flights are cheaper get the train from GVA to Moutiers (cheaper than bus) and the bus from Moutiers to Brides was only 4 euros each last winter! If you don't have a car you need to be near the gondola and remember that in January the last gondola from Meribel is 5pm - do not miss it.
If you are looking at Skiweekends prices I usually find I can do it cheaper myself. PM if you want any more info. We were in Meribel valley for 9 weeks last winter as son works there.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@mogulski
, thanks for your reply. I'll be on my own and I'd seen a good single person deal hence the question as I'd rather be in a shared space rather than on my own

@stevew
, Remember a good book for the gondola ride. B les B is somewhere in between Paris and Meribel.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Fully eyes open on that and if I go for it will be taking my Kindle on the ride!
