Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
Looking to find people to share accomodation with in Les Arcs for a snowy week starting 4th of January 2025. My attempts to convince my non-skiing friends to come has been pretty futile
Ideally looking for cheap as possible, as long as there is somewhere to sleep I'm really not fussed. Self catering unless someone finds an absolute steal. Already sorted my travel and have my own gear so it's only lift-pass and accomodation I'm still after.
Very much a first lift/last lift person, I'm there to ski after all! No interest in aprés-ski personally but not fussed if others are more in-to it. Happy to ski with others or just do my own thing. I'm 24, enjoy off-piste, side-hits and generally blasting around.
Let me know if you're interested/need a place filling etc!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I went there same time last year by myself , stayed in Bourg Hotel base camp , they've got a great dorm which was only £30 a night and not that busy. They also do breakfast and dinner etc if you want and the slopes ar just a short walk away . I got there via train from Geneva which is pretty easy and cheap.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ah great, thanks. This could be perfect, thanks for the heads-up.
If you don't mind, how did you find getting from Bourg to the top of the mountain each morning? Were there big queues to get on in the morning? Did the funiculiare open at a good time to still be up in resort for lift opening time? I've only ever stayed higher up mountains before

The funicular opening times are not published for next winter yet, but in previos years I've got one down around 7:30 in the morning to catch a train. If they go down they must also go up. If you want you can get an early funicular up, get breakfast in 1600 and still be on the first cachette. I must be a weed but I think the walk from the Base Camp to the funicular a fairly long way. For the navettes around Bourg st Maurice see.

At that time of the year there were no queues so pretty quick up the mountain and there was a lot of snow last year as well and sometimes i felt like the only one on the slope . I didn't find the walk that long but if you want they have lockers at the funicular and at 1600 if you dont want carry your skis and boots .
