Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Float 2.0 Cylinder

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

I've bought a BCA float avalanche rucksack, with a float 2.0 cylinder, and would like the option to be able to repressurise with a foot pump (like this) -

The only thing I can't find anywhere (including from BCA) is the correct adapter for the cylinder (it looks like a standard PCP socket connector, but the inside seems to be a bit bigger). Any one got any good info?

Many thanks!

No foot pump for BCAs!

Those cylinders are designed for refills at dive shops or authorized stations. Check with BCA for refill options

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Why no foot pump for bca's? That's what I used to charge my float 1.0. Do you already have a pump?

Oooh - do you have any info on the connector for the cylinder (or just info on which pump/adaptor you have)? As I believe the connector for 1.0 and 2.0 is the same. I've found nothing in the manual, the dealer refill instructions or by contacting BCA.

I bought this (but then sent it back as I couldn't get a connector): https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088Q83JX7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&tag=amz07b-21 - this pump seemed to have the standard PCP connector, but the interior of the one in the cylinder is slightly bigger. I wonder whether is a UK/US metric/imperial thing - but just so hard to find info.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I will check and get back to you but it was nothing fancy. I won't be home until weekend to check. If I don't post by next Sunday PM To remind me.
I'm about to sell my kit. I have float 8 and 32l rucksack with 1 bladder/cylinder 1.0. I have also the hill mk3 air rifle pump with all the right kit to fill the cyclinder. I am happy to split the pump for rucksacks as I rather like the 8l .
