Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arinsal-Pal

Hi all I wonder if anyone can tell me if it’s an easy ski from Arinsal to pal ? Me and my other half who are in our mid sixties (and she is a nervous skier) are looking to go there after Xmas for a short break. Thanks in advance
Ps any other recommendations for a short break with a nervous blue run skier most welcome

You would need to take a cable car to Pal and back. Both sectors not yet linked by pistes. You can choose to ski blue slopes on both sides if you are nervous.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Welcome to snowHeads! I'm heartened that you can still call yourself a lad in your mid-60s, gives me hope!! snowHead

Not sure about the Crypto bit, hopefully you won't start promoting that on here! wink

I skied a day in Arinsal and Pal. As @strmin says it's a two-way cable car from the bottom of one end of Pal up to the highest point of Arinsal, there are blues linking at each end, but I don't know if I would recommend it for someone very timid as it's quite high up over the valley below. You can take a look from the top of Arinsal to see if they fancy it before committing!

The easiest part of Pal with some gentle wooded runs is at the other end where the gondola comes up from La Massana, that's probably where I'd go with a nervous skier! Can you get the bus down to La Massana?? snowHead

If you can get the bus up to Arcalis on a sunny day, it has an amazing gentle green run from top to bottom, they will love that too!! Deserted when I was there at Feb HT! Snow's better there too! snowHead

@cryptoskilad66161, yes, it’s a fairly gentle ski from Arinsal to Pal. There’s a long gentle blue that takes you to Pal from the cable car. It does get a bit narrow in places which can get busy at times. It’s a bit tougher to get back from Pal to Arinsal because the blues are a bit steeper in places (but also wider). It’s not too bad though. You could go down to La Massana and get the bus back. I’d imagine if she’s happy skiing the Arinsal slopes, she’d be ok getting back from Pal though.
