Poster: A snowHead
|
Looking to service my skiis in this off-season. Maybe something to the extent of belt grind structuring, edge with detune hot wax and polish.
Any suggestions that would be kind £ wise and do a good job?
Many thanks in advance!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@negativeyardage, Which part of London? Its a pretty big place and there are different/easier options depending on which side you are.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

fair point- I am based Fulham Road way so South West. But got a car so can drive about. But you are right, ideally not to Romford for example which is 1.5-2hr each way...

Then Ski Bartlett isn’t bad, just out along the A4.
I use Joe at https://www.batterski.com/
Unfortunately he’s not in Battersea any more so its a drive down to Bromley, not too bad early on a Sunday morning , you can arrange to meet him as he’s pretty flexible as works out of home. Very reasonably priced and does a good job.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I use Finches, they're super nice in there.

If you're thinking of using Finches and not in a hurry worth leaving it until around the start of Nov. Not any cheaper but you can arrange to either drop off/pick up on their pre-season open day and get a free pint of beer/discounts on new kit and clothing. From memory usually the first weekend in November.
