Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Trip report Brian Head, Utah

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I visited Brian Head on a day trip from Las Vegas. It 's a bit over three hours by car from central Vegas. The drive is all easy on I15 except for the last 10 miles. I had no trouble in a two wheel drive car but if it's snowed heavily recently you could need chains.

The resort itself is relatively small and friendly but pretty cheap. A day's skiing including hire of equipment was about 75$. The vertical range is stilly pretty ok (about 400m). There are quite a few black diamond runs, most of which are not groomed. Excursions into the trees were possible at different levels of difficulty. Only downer was that only one of the lifts was a highspeed detatchable, all the others felt painfully slow. But the express lift covers the full vertical extent so that's the best bet.

I certainly had a fun time and enjoyed the traditional American hospitality. All the staff were very cheerful. So if you happen to be in Vegas give it a shot!
