I imagine the jumper certainly was but I guess they wouldn’t have put the video up plastered with corporate logos if he has stacked badly and got injured/killed and/or hadn’t hit the landing and got the record.

Obviously. But doesn’t stop that “twitchy” feeling…..anyone recall Daniel Albrecht’s gruesome accident in Kitzbuhel? Widely shown on most media platforms.

Applause for the length and hang time, but... wot no grabs? No Rotations? I mean... why not throw a big ol' lazy Method in there - he had time!

@ukoldschool, maybe so but Redbull probably put more sponsorship into skiers and skiing events than any other company.

@Alastair Pink, its probably why those ski jump suits always look a bit rubbery and easy-wipe-clean...

291m
Holy Shit!
If you ever get the chance go visit the Skiflugschanze (Flug, not Sprung) in Oberstdorf. At the bottom they have marked the various records over the years. First time I went there it was Matti Nykaenen at about 185m. Now it's 242,5m (Domen Prevc). I look up the hill and think 'no way'!
I go to the top and look down and think you would have to be completely out of your mind...
Respect.
I hear FIS are not recognising this as a record. Why?

Wasn’t at a FIS event basically with all the checks, regulations etc that those undergo.
