We’re back! In fact, we’ve been back for 3 days. Much colder temps this year with E and NE winds so the snowpack is still full winter. We’ve skied powder every day; yesterday being one the best yet with 700m vert of continuous untouched powder. A few pics from yesterday:

@Arno, the sauna (both of them) are working. The beer, however…I paid £14 for a pint of IPA in Oslo LOL. It’s a more palatable £7 a bottle here.

I heard Svalbard is duty free so booze cheaper than the UK!

It’s very rare that we get 4 days on the trot of quite frankly nigh-on perfect conditions. Today was below freezing, no wind, all the sun, a cold snowpack to the fjord and fresh tracks for 400m of the 900m descent. Not bad considering geitgallien is one of the most popular peaks. Great day.

Looks great, @Sharkymark, thanks for sharing and inspiring me to take another look at Norway for next week!
Midweek to midweek works best for me, so looking at cheap Ryanair flights from Manchester or Stansted into Oslo, and then probably train to Lillehammer and spending a day at each of the resorts near there.
Can't find a weather thread for Norway in general or Gudbrand Valley in particular, but with some areas open until 14th and a couple more until 21st, I might be able to make it work for a final few slides on my snowboard.

It’s only 800m but took 3 hours to climb (including a km or so of flat) with 150 kick turns. We know cos @offpisteskiing counted them on the way home haha.
