Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Replace buckle on Scarpa ski boot - Paznaun valley

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Does anyone know of a ski shop in the Paznaun valley that is likely to be able to replace a broken buckle on a Scarpa ski boot. The boot is a Scarpa NTN Telemark boot, but a buckle for an alpine touring boot would be fine (one has done well enough on the other boot)

Alternatively, anywhere that might sell NTN touring boots, as this is a good indication they are ready to be replaced

I can now answer my questions.

For the replacement buckle, Adler Sports in Ischgl, just up from the bottom Silvrettabahn station, fixed it with an Atomic buckle. They did pretty well out of this as, when I was getting this fixed, my partner became convinced of the need for new touring skis, and bindings, and skins, and poles. So, between us we ended up just over 1000 Euro down; the buckle ( including labour) cost 15 Euro.

As for NTN boots, Sport Walter in Galtur has a few Crispi Evo boots for 250 Euro. This was tempting, but they don't have the Dynafit toe piece, and I expect my next bindings will be the Medijo
