Hi Everybody
Being over 75yrs, I have had a free lift pass at Les Arcs for the past couple of years (10 Euros admin). It didn't cover La Plagne but did give me the express lift que. Very happy with all that of course.
My question is, we are going to La Tania this year, and I have just come from the La Tania resort website with this.
"Free passes for individual valleys for under 5s and over 75s still to be confirmed (chargeable for a 3 Valleys pass) and Season Pass prices still awaited."
I will be emailing them to find out more, but in the mean time, does anybody here know any better info? In particular, I will want my lift pass to cover the whole of Les Trois Vallee. It may be my last chance to revisit this glorious area!
Cheers for any help.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Free passes for over 75s are by no means universal. Last time I bought a pass I was 76 and only got a few euros off, as a 16 year old would do.

Two or three years ago you could get a free pass if you were over 75 for the whole of the 3V. I benefited from one myself.
I think they dropped it last season.

And really there's no particular justification for it, is there?

@DrLawn, My sister and I had a private lesson in Les Gets, many moons ago, with an elderly - and extremely good - Scottish instructor who was working for BASS there. I was quite put out to be described as "spry" as I definitely thought that was a word only applied to old people. And I wasn't old, not then. Probably in my 50s. He was the one who told us that the important thing in skiing is to stand on your feet. Shouldn't have been a revelation, but........

The whole 3V pass was free for over 75s until last winter. Mrmogulski had 2 free season passes as we spend several weeks there each winter. I was 75 in Dec 2023 and they removed the free pass a month before my birthday. The good point is that over 75s now pay 25% of the adult rate for whatever pass you need so season pass is 387.5 euros. Our skiing there last winter cost about 9 euros a day so cannot complain.
The Courchevel valley and Meribel valley still give a free over 75 season pass for that valley. The Belleville valley has a reduced rates for a season pass but you need to buy a Val Thorens/Orelle pass and a Menuires/St Martin pass. The combined cost of these 2 passes is greater than buying a 3V pass plus you would need to carry 4 different passes to ski the whole area!! I checked this all out recently.
The simple answer is just buy the veteran pass for the time you need.
