When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skiers turned away from Mt Hutt for a second time

Skiers were turned away from the Mt Hutt Ski Area in New Zealand last Saturday for the second time this season. Again, it was because the car parks were full, this time by 10.10 am. Last time this happened was on Sunday June 25th....
The problem was compounded by the fact that the ski area’s top car park was blocked off due to small avalanches. More than 6,000 skiers were able to enjoy the fantastic snow conditions over the weekend.
