Poster: A snowHead
|
We have a big old Disco with a roofbox which is normally packed to the gunnels with people and stuff. Found some good accommodation in Le Lac for next year but the parking situation is concerning.
Have read the Tignes thread with all sorts of useful parking options - although confused as the official Tignes sites say 1.9m for pretty much all these parkings. Can anyone shed any light and has experience of this? Thanks so much.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@abricotine, Re read Bobs post on the first page of the Tignes thread. He has been into every carpark in Tignes on behalf of Snowheads and it’s correct. The NeoIndigo website is generic (and crap!).

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@chocksaway, thanks — I guess that explains it!

It's a French website, so 'crap' is rare praise indeed. Most French sites I've ever had the misfortune to have to use would need considerable time and expense spent on them to rise to the heights of 'crap'!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That's uncalled for and not relevant.
Anyways, I found parking info for Val Claret confusing, and in the end I just turned up without booking - but that was with a small car, and I do remember they were blocking vehicles above a certain height. Le Lac seems even worse. Maybe check at 1800m, or simply give the Tourist Office a phone call, that's one thing they're still really good with.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Lac 3 is 2.25m. The website is wrong. If you google maps it you’ll see the sign and a 2m Transit Custom inside. I’ve parked SUVs with Roof Boxes in there for several years but check your overall height with the disco plus boxes.
