I've come up with Thorlo.
Do you good folk have any other suggestions?
Many thanks.

I liked Thorlo, but they pretty much disappeared many years ago from Australian and St Anton ski shops.
I have since been wearing the thin Falke socks and found them as good, if not better, than the Thorlo socks. Comfortable and last a long time. Some of mine are now 200+ ski days olds, albeit getting a bit thin now. Time for some new socks...

@Old Fartbag, I buy thin ski socks - almost any reputable brand seems OK.

Thank you for the answer.
The socks are for my daughter, where wool brings her out in a rash.....so she has set me the task of finding socks with no wool content. As far as I can make out, Falke have some merino content in all their socks. She also suffers from the cold, so needs a medium thickness.
I have found places that sell Thorlo....and I think X Socks might have a cheaper model, with no wool - but almost every decent brand contains wool.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I can't wear wool either. I also have small feet. Oddly, find it much easier and cheaper getting kids' socks.
Afraid I can't recommend any specific brands by name, but think Decathlon do some, have also got from Aldis (ladies?). I got a good pair from Glide & Slide several years ago, others bought in Austria and have lasted well. Also on E Bay; bit of a gamble but cheap usually.
Oh, and I am very particular about sock and boot fit BTW, so my above sources are very good fitting, non- slipping thin-ish socks.

Fartbag - be aware they really are compressive (good for flying for me too, as I suffered a DVT once....) - so somewhere there's actually a clip on how to best put them on (!)... basically stuff your hand/arm down them and turn inside out except for forefoot, put on and slide up and on.
(I'd got mine while at Whistler, as Dissent is Canuckian... and had suffered previously on a trip to Mont Tremblant witha -30degC day... and those 'usual' canadian style face cover deals would fog up the googles... the Dissent Balaclava is fab, the mouth is completely covered but doesn't freeze up, no idea how or why, and can be stuffed in a pcket 'just in case' in changeable weather days... ie definitely get one too!)

Cheers, but all Falke I've come across contain a percentage of wool.

@Old Fartbag, I have the same problem. It's difficult to find completely wool-free socks, if you include merino as wool. I scour the ski shops, and when I find then, buy several pairs. The more specialised racer shops are a good source, but usually in resort, rather than the UK. I have socks by Spyder and K2 that have been OK.

You know it makes sense.

Merino is a very fine fibre, and although I itch and get a rash with a lot of wool, I can wear merino without a problem. I have Falke now, Smartwool were terrible.

She even found Smartwool caused problems....and she's full of notions (much like her mother).

I favour thin Salomon race socks (no wool). Much like @Chamcham says above I buy a few pairs at a time in resort shops when I see them and the price is right (say €15 a pair).

Several people on here liked the Aldi silk ski socks, only about £5. I bought a few pairs myself and they are fine.

My personal favourites too but can't find them anymore. Do you have any idea where to get them from?
