Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We're so tempted to ski at Easter we had a great time in val cenis at half term such a come down after, just getting back into the swing of things my kids love it too next February is too far away!
Looks like fairly good availability on various residence pages suppose best to wait a few more weeks to see if weather holds?
We usually book far in advance any tips (other than choose somewhere high)?
Would be driving again.

I did a big search in the last month for the 1st week of April
There are many good Options in snowtrex, travelski sunweb etc
Have in mind that in valmenier if you book from their Website accomm and skipass is cheaper als travelski etc and avoriaz has an offer from free ski pass for kids if the Eltern buy one...but from 30th march
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That gives you optimum flexibility. So yes, you can probably wait a bit and book accommodation at the last minute. You won't necessarily need to go particularly high.
BUT - if you need ski lessons last minute options might be very limited - worth thinking about.

Waiting means you get to see if some of the less high places hold up and are an option or you can just book something highish and be all set.
Really just depends on you want to rumble.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@James77
, don't limit your thoughts to just France. There's just as good options in Austria. Soelden/Obergurgl, Mayrhofen/hintertux, Ischgl, Obertauern to name some that will ski well
