Poster: A snowHead

I'm thinking of using my local dry slope (Norwich).
I had a look at their hire boards but the bindings have no adjustment on the high backs and I like to have them pushed forward.
I'm guessing that if I use my best board on the dry slope I'm going to trash it?
I have a couple of old boards I - a softer one and a stiffer one. So my question is which will be better for the dry slope?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Too many variables to know. You'll be going slower on plastic than snow, so if it's not a noodle then probably the softer board, if you can edge it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I use a smaller board for the dryslope as its tougher to turn and one thats a bit softer as i end up lifting the back all the time to get around .

Thanks - I'll go with the shorter, softer one.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The one that I would use is your softer one is CO. If you can move the high backs on your bindings at least a bit that would be great. You may have to contact the dry slope to see if they have any rental boards and if they let you change the bindings on them.

I teach on an old Burton board which is pretty soft and shorter than my usual 'snow' set-up. Using your normal board would probably be 'ok' in terms of wear and tear. It depends on how precious you are.

@zoldyr453 the rental boards don't look like they've got any adjustment on the high backs. I've pushed them forward on my own bindings which seemed to help.
@AndAnotherThing.. I'm not that precious - both of the boards have a few trips wear and tear anyway. But I think softer and shorter probably helps with the surface. If the slope does damage whichever board I take, I might drop some hints that a new board could be the present idea that she's looking for.
