Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

more Delta issues

Hi there!

I have now, towards the end of the season, settled the boot search.
Setup for next Winter:
Hawx Ultra 120S
ZGTP 2025

On my alpine Skis (Serpios) with Warden MNCs the Stance is very similar, I could ski in one boot of each I guess. Fit is quite similar, too.

Now there's a Pair of DPS W99 Alchemist, which I want to make my Powder Skis. Ideally, both boots should work, and short tours should be possible. I have Marker Tour F12s here. Turns out the Hawx sits about the same as in the (4mm shimmed) Wardens, while ZGTPs have 1.x-ish degreesof extra lean/a handful of mms more delta.

Would I be better of with Guardian MNCs, as these adust just like my wardens (from above)? Does somebody by chance have toe/heel heights for these? Could I shims these, just in case?

Cheers!

@danbre2022, I can't answer all your questions, but I do know that Phil over at Skitalk has measured and complied a lot of binding data here: https://www.skitalk.com/forums/gear-reviews-and-comparisons.11/
The first posts in those top 4 pinned threads (blue) should give you the toe/heel heights you're looking for.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@danbre2022, Why do the boots sit the same in your wardens vs the Markers? Seems a little odd to me?

I'm fairly (entirely?) delta agnostic and usually think this involves over thinking things wink I know that some folks find big differences.

That's not odd at all-

The wardens are shimmed at the toes, so close to flat considering the sole contact areas. W/o shims they have some 6mm of delta.
