Powder White the tour operator has announced it has ceased trading via a post on their website. They are in the process of contacting their customers who have travel booked with them for the rest of the season.
“The immeasurable combined impact of Brexit and Covid, which has more recently been compounded by the cost of living crisis, has resulted in us not being able to fulfil our obligations”

Another long term tour operator, 20 years +, bites the dust.
Hope anyone affected is looked after properly.

I've booked with them before, probably about 10 years ago, but it was accommodation only, so not the most complex booking. Obviously it's sad for those that work there, but my first thought went to those who've got upcoming bookings (I assume there will be a fair few for half term) and how this will affect them.

@MorningGory, Yes. Not everything is the fault of Brexit & Covid, even if thats what Powder White say.

They didn't say that. But what they did say, you perhaps don't want to hear.

@phil_w, In the interest of reasoned debate & accuacy. Direct quote from the PW statement '' immeasurable combined impact of Brexit and Covid'' So, they did say that. Also I was alluding to PeakyB's comment. You may note I didn't include the reference to 'cost of living crisis'. As anyone even considering a ski holiday dose'nt fit that catagory. So it has nothing to do with 'what I don't want to hear'. Many factors will have impacted their decision, as MorningGory noted. Very slim operating margins, the point MorningGory made, poor management? All will have had an impact.

I know several of former UK guests, despite limited price increases for our apartment for almost 6 years who have cited cost of living crisis for their lack of a return trip. Always 'disappointed' at the cost and not being able to afford it, and apparently stayed for less last time, despite it being a lower priced week of the season in January as opposed to a Feb holiday week. Accommodation owners and tour operators are also adversely affected by the cost of living crisis, as our energy costs and utility bills have increased too. French seem to have been less impacted by it.

Well the 2 Directors have 5 companies with either Powder White in the name or other ski related terms listed on Companies House - I wonder which has been sacrificed?
