Poster: A snowHead

Just to set expectations with my crew (I'm in my 50, they're in their 20's).
We're heading out to El Tarter in February. We're not unduly heavy party animals, but we do enjoy a beer or 3 after a day out, and maybe some live music.
Will we find any of that at all in El Tarter, or will we be heading up the valley? (I believe there's a bus)
Thanks,
Dad

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

You will find that in el Tarter. Finding snow might be the issue at the moment, it's fairly grim I have just had a few days there

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hmmm, sounds like we need to look at the snow forecast...

@Strax, here's some of the webcams for the area, work taking a look. Hopefully temps will drop and you'll get a refresh before you go.
I'm not sure about the town, but there were a few bars on the mountain (at the top of the El-tarter bubble) that had DJ's, loud music and alcohol flowing freely if I remember correctly. Been a few years since I went though.

Not really a lot going on in El Tarter but this place is quite lively

Up the road in Soldeu there are more bars. There is a bus and it's only a short walk (10/15 mins)
Snow in Andorra has been awful this year and there is nothing forecasted atm. Hope they get a big dump soon for you (and for me!)

Abarset is good for apres but if you want anything later then Soldeu is your best bet. We’re generally in bed by 9 so it being quiet suited us just fine (start early, finish early). And you must visit the supermarket for free food and drink amd just to see the amount of toot it sells. Seriously if you want a full size model of a cow or a copper distiller then it’s the shop for you!

Supermarket great for food, the meat grill next to it is awesome, and the ski shop across the road (Espunyes) has some real bargains.
Can’t help with bangin chunes, sorry.

Agree that El Tarter is a bit quiet with a few bars with a convenient bus up to Soldeu for more nightlife. That supermarket should be on the tourist map for its sheer variety and weirdness of its stock. A couple of the ski shops at the bottom of the El Tarter chair have lockers and is also the quieter of the 2 lifts as the gondola caters for the car park. Hope the snow arrives before you do.

We have been discussing going to Pas next year as we have been to ET so many times but I’m not sure I can miss out on the supermarket visit
