Heading to back to Tignes for the first time in 6 years at the end of March. We're a couple in our late-twenties, both intermediate skiers (will be getting two or so morning lessons in the week), keen for apres/bars etc in the evening as well as good food recommendations.
Would be interested in any recommendations, but in particular we're looking for recommendations for:
1. the best piste runs/areas for intermediates
2. restaurants (both on/off the mountain)
3. apres venues
4. anything else worth doing (e.g., any other snow activities etc).

One of the problems with best runs / areas is that they change according to snow conditions. Essentially most of the area is excellent for Intermediates , having a few morning lessons will help and asking the instructor. But if the weather is warm you will be better off avoiding some of the lower more south facing slopes as the day progresses such as the main route back from Toviere to Val Claret.
Go High in the afternoon but avoid the lowest runs if there has been a freeze thaw first thing as they will be icy but come into condition often mid morning such as runs to Les Brevieres but it is all a bit weather dependent and you will need to judge the conditions when you are there.

My fave red run was Face/Double M which brings you down into Val Claret. L'Armoise in VC is a lovely, well priced savoyard restaurant.

Haven't said where your staying in Tignes ??
We were based in Val Claret and went to the Inside bar most evenings.Food wise we went to Tex-Mex (ok) , Le Dahu ( great food ) and when we got to carried away at the inside bar just grabbed a Pizza/burger/kebab from SOS Pizza on the way home , the food was always good and very reasonably priced compared to the mountains.

For apres ski join the Facebook groups Tignes Seasonnaires and Tignes Seasonnaires 2024 - most of what is on will be posted on those.

Don’t forget about the green runs accessible from Fresse / Borsat, great wide open terrain which you can get some good confidence / skills practice in. I also like Grattalu ( but conditions dependent, the runs back to VC or Le Lac from there can be more difficult due to snow piling up and steeper).
Restaurants wise there are good options above, for value and cheap eats at lunch Jam Bar in Le Lac (Rocco makes fab pastas / bruschettas for €15-20), Corner bar in VC for bacon butties, sausage rolls etc. both well recommended.
Loop bar in Le Lac always lively, the terrace at Hotel Le Levanna has live DJ sets most afternoons (beers are expensive). Folie Douce always worth a visit of course, with just Tommeuses lift / Toviere bubble direct back to Le Lac with almost no post party skiing needed.

The nachos in the loop bar in Le Lac are great for lunch of with apres. They also do a decent apres.
Really nice food in La Queue de Cochon in Le Lavachet which I always recommend, plus they do an apres deal on drinks, although it's a lot more quiet, middle to older age clientele.
Opposite La Queue de Cochon is Le Brasero again they do a decent apres deal, and is a bit more lively and a bit of a younger crowd.

Yes, Loup Bar nachos are gorgeous! Next door is Tignes Cuisine (if still running) - huge bowl of cheap and fab tasting Asian chicken/prawn/veg noodles! Get there early for lunch as it's tiny with few outdoor seats and gets very busy!

Tignes Cuisine got re-setup with the guys from Loop so still going strong now. Up to 17 euro for a noodle bowl this week so just ‘relatively cheap’ up here
