Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Need Help planning 4 days in a resort near Geneva

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

We have our flights booked to Geneva on 28th March -1st April (evening 6pm flight), which allows us for 4 days skiing or 3.5.

We are 4 females in their 20s, and ideally looking for a resort that is both snow-sure and has good après. We've always wanted to do on-piste apres, but if there is also apres at the bottom of the mountain, that is still good for us!

Not sure what the best resort would be at that time, and one that has a transfer that is not too long.

We thought of Avoriaz and Chamonix, but we are unsure what either is like and whether there are better options out there.

Thanks for the help Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@lilnads97, I reckon it's hard to look past Avoriaz for your requirements... (or Morzine, with navette / lift link to Avoriaz)

Avoriaz, Flaine, Chamonix and Les Contamines would all be fairly snowsure options at that time of year with short transfer times, but I think Avoriaz probably stands out as having the best apres?

Great thankyou! Would you suggest staying in Morzine, or staying up in Avoriaz

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Stay in Avo if you can, it's magical at night.

@patrick!, but it doesn't have heaps of apres does it? Other than the Folie?

With your group's make-up/ages - stay in Morzine/ski in Avoriaz.

Avoriaz, accessible from a gondola right in the heart of Morzine, is higher so generally better snow conditions and good on piste apres option, either the Folie or much cheaper Yeti bar right next door. You can either head home on skis around 4:00/4:30PM or stay later, skiing down through Avoriaz town and taking the Les Prodains gondola down/bas back to Morzine up until 9pm. Once back in Morzine you have a much wider selection of restaurants and bars to take you as late into the night as you want.
