FFS! Just packed for Saturday and I can only find my "old" gloves and they aren't very thick... where the hell have I put the superexpensive ones I got in March???
I couldn't remember what they looked like - but hubby found a picture, we've torn the house upside down and I have eventually given in and resorted to Amazon prime! Several pairs on order so hopefully their promise to deliver before 10pm tomorrow will be met and at least one pair will be suitable, don't have time to go shopping tomorrow, so if not it hopefully can pick some up at the supermarche en route as I think its gonna be a cold week but I'm not prepared to pay resort prices.

@skimummk, happens to us all the time, usually with one of our adult kids, who don't ski every year now, so often can't remember what they looked like last time they skied. Usually turn up tucked inside a helmet or in a ski boot bag. Now they ski off-piste, there's usually missing stuff in an avalanche pack. Decathlon is a good shout to pick up gear if you are near one on your journey.

You”ll find then after you come home and are putting away your new gloves in the place you store your ski gear bits and pieces but forgot about.

@skimummk, after many years of similar such events, Mrs U who is unfeasibly organised puts everything away properly after the éast ski of the winter (and during winter we have bags which have boots, helmets, goggles and everything else lives in back packs.

I've just found £100 in a drawer, £85 of which I've swopped with a friend for 100 euros - free money from God for next week

Wife bought a few ziplock overcoat bags, one per family member. Now after each ski trip, once stuff is washed and dried, each person’s stuff is put in the appropriate bag, it’s sealed and packed away for next time.
Probably helps we live in a warmish country so snow stuff is only used on special occasions.

I would like to thank Amazon Prime - placed order at about 2am - lovely new gloves delivered at 6pm - totally unknown brand but they feel fine and were only £15 - some better ones also due before 10pm but if they don’t arrive it doesn’t matter cos at least I have some
