Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, looking to go early Feb but there's not a lot of accommodation available. What's it like staying in Pettneu, are the taxi's expensive to and from St.Anton. I know there are busses but they seem to stop quite early.
What about nightlife ? is there any.

Only stopped there once in a self catering apartment, but had a car so was easy to drive to St Anton and park up for the day. I don’t recall any real nightlife there, we went to hotel restaurant one night in the centre which was good but very quiet overall as a place to stop.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No real nightlife. Ski bus is easy enough to get to Stanton. Beware that ski busses end relatively early - if you close the moose you’ll miss it. Then you need to use cash to buy bus tickets back to Pettneu.

, By preference I would stay in Pettneu over St Anton. They are some night buses which cost about €5 though not necessarily ideal if you want night out in St Anton, the Postbuses run until around 21:00 so should be no issue to have early dinner and then go back to Murrmel or wherever. There are some bars & restaurants. Not sure when Gasthof zur Taube closes (there is a basement bar). Not sure if Friedls is reopening this season it doesnt seem to have emerged from the Zombie apocalypse. During the day it is easy, the buses are as quick as those from St Jakob, Moos, further reaches of Nasserein etc
