Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Midweek short break in France - Late Jan

Hi all,

I'm going to be based in the Massif Central for the last week before French School Hols and was going to ski Lioran and Super Besse which are each around 1hr 15 mins drive each way but they are having a difficult start to the season and haven't managed to build up any base as yet.

I know weather can change and they could end up with decent snow i'm starting to think about a back up plan. This could be a Mon/Tue night - Fri/Sat morning in either Alps or Pyrenees whichever looks like having the best snow. As I'll be driving via Clermont Ferrand & LyonI'll be looking to be more on the West side of the Alps.

Don't need a huge area just plenty of Blue/Red Intermediate stuff, skies Ports du Soleil and 3V so would be good to try somewhere different, As it's not a typical Sat-Sat period we're looking for where might be good to look for late availability - looking to leave it late to go where there are good conditions ?

Apartment or Hotel is fine as it's just to of us.
